In recent years, the alarming rise of child sex change interventions in Pennsylvania hospitals has brought urgent attention to the need for accountability and protection for our most vulnerable population—our children. These interventions, including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and even irreversible surgeries, are being promoted as “gender-affirming care.” However, these practices carry devastating physical, psychological, and long-term consequences. To shed light on this critical issue, Beth Serio, External Relations Manager at Do No Harm, joins us to discuss the organization’s mission to protect the healthcare system from harmful ideologies and ensure children’s well-being remains the primary focus.
Do No Harm, a national medical watchdog organization, has uncovered shocking data: between 2019 and 2023, Pennsylvania hospitals treated over 800 child sex change patients and submitted more than $6 million in insurance claims. Highlighted in this discussion is the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), which ranks as the worst offender nationwide, placing dozens of children on pathways to lifelong medical intervention. These interventions not only risk sterility and bone density issues but could also cause neurological and other irreversible complications.
