Job Title: State Director
Full Time + Position

Overview: Pennsylvania Family Council is in search of a qualified State Director to lead its efforts around a Pro-Life Initiative to change the PA State Constitution. The State Director must believe in pro-life, pro-family principles and must have prior campaign management experience. Responsibilities will include managing the Regional Directors, overseeing the grassroots operation, interfacing with the PA Family Council team and the General Consultant on the project.

Job Description:

  • Recruit, train and oversee the Regional Field Directors
  • Set weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics for the grassroots team
  • Build and foster relationships with supportive organizations, leaders, and various stakeholders throughout PA
  • Provide regular reports to the PA Family Council team and GC
  • Meet goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Identify and recommend to the PA Family Council team and GC, like minded down ballot races to collaborate with
  • Assist in the development of the initiative budget and strategic plan
  • Oversee day-to-day operation and implementation of the strategic plan
  • Responsible for identifying and recommending potential regional office locations
  • Help organize “Super Saturdays” (canvassing events), phone banks, and other various campaign/activist events
  • Meet goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Additional duties as requested by the GC and the PA Family Council team

Desired Skills/Background:

  • Strong social skills, positive attitude, and dedication to conservative, pro-life, pro-family causes
  • Ability to speak to and teach groups, host meetings, manage meetings
  • Ability to build and foster relationships with volunteers, aligned organizations, activists and community leaders
  • Measuring progression of tasks, designated goals
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Creative problem solving
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other basic computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate tasks to paid canvassers and unpaid staff
  • Passionate about and energetic in defending life
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to work long and flexible hours, evenings and/or weekends

    Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have prior campaign management experience and strong background in the pro-life cause.

Regional Directors must believe in pro-family, pro-life principles and must have prior campaign experience. Responsibilities will include managing groups of volunteers, running regional field offices, and building out a regional grassroots network.

    Job Description:

    • Recruit, train and oversee volunteer Field Organizers and grassroots activists
    • Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics set by the State Director
    • Build and foster relationships with supportive organizations, leaders, and various stakeholders in your region
    • Provide regular reports to the State Director
    • Meet goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
    • Identify potential down ballot races to collaborate with and recommend to the State Director
    • Responsible for managing a regional field office
    • Help organize “Super Saturdays” (canvassing events), phone banks, and other various campaign/activist events
    • Meet goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
    • Additional duties as requested by the State Director
