About PCEN

The Pennsylvania Christian Education Network (PCEN) exists to unite Christian school leaders across the Commonwealth, strengthening their collective voice on issues affecting faith-based education. By fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and engaging with policymakers, PCEN works to protect the freedom of Christian schools to fulfill their mission and equips leaders to advocate effectively for the families they serve.

Christian schools continue to face significant legislative and policy challenges in Pennsylvania. Most recently, the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program became a bargaining chip during the 2026 state budget negotiations, putting scholarships for thousands of families at risk. Furthermore, Governor Josh Shapiro refuses to opt Pennsylvania into the federal EITC program, despite 32 states already having done so.
