Every step we take together sends a message that life is worth protecting. Want to know why this year’s Pennsylvania March for Life is so important? Here are five reasons to bring your family and friends to Harrisburg on Monday, September 22nd.

1. Charlie Kirk marched.

At one of the recent national March for Life events, Charlie Kirk marched alongside college students and said,

“It is a long fight, and we know that nothing is going to change overnight, but millions of people standing up for what is right can change something. This gives you hope, seeing what is happening here.”

Rallying in Harrisburg and marching around our State Capitol is an opportunity to spread hope and to stand up for what is right.

“Charlie was fearless in defending the unborn, a devoted husband and father, and a bold witness to the truth. His voice shaped a generation, and his legacy calls us to continue the mission with greater courage. Now more than ever, our nation needs to see the joy, hope, and love of the pro-life movement.” – March For Life

Note: The security at this year’s PA March for Life will be enhanced. While both the City of Harrisburg Police and the State Capitol Police have been significantly involved in years past, there will be an even greater security presence than ever before.

2. Lawmakers notice.

For the past five years, the PA March for Life has been the largest rally of the year in Harrisburg. It’s

  • “The Pennsylvania March for Life is an inspiring display of our Commonwealth’s commitment to life. We are a strong, unified voice for the voiceless, and we stand united for children, women, and families.” PA State Rep Kate Klunk
  • “Together, we’ll continue this fight to defend the dignity of the unborn!” PA State Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill
  • “This year’s March for Life was amazing.  So many people braved the weather and came out to show support for the unborn, and I was proud to stand with them.” – PA State Senator Judy Ward
  • “It is so encouraging to see so many people standing up for such a worthy cause!” – PA State Senator Scott Martin
  • “It was the biggest crowd I’ve seen since becoming senator!” – PA State Senator Kim Ward

Even pro-abortion politicians notice, including governors. Former Gov. Tom Wolf claimed the first-ever PA March was so-called “anti-women” despite thousands of women being in attendance.

3. Rally with Ryan Bomberger.

One of the pro-life movement’s most powerful voices is “factivist” and cancer-survivor Ryan Bomberger. He was conceived in rape but adopted in love. He often repeats that he is “So grateful for a birthmom who rejected the violence of abortion.” He is the co-founder of the Radiance Foundation, which is leading the way in illuminating the fact that every human life has purpose.

Ryan was the emcee at the first-ever PA March and did a fantastic job! We’re glad he’s back again! “Whether you’re planned or unplanned, able or disabled, red, yellow, black, brown, or white – I don’t care what beautiful hue you are, every human life has purpose.” @ryanbomberger

4. Planned Parenthood wants you to stay away and stay silent.

While the largest abortion business continues to receive taxpayer funding, expand their chemical abortion practices, and falsely advertises to help bring vulnerable pregnant women into their doors, Planned Parenthood wants you to stay home. Their agenda is to shut down every pregnancy resource center in Pennsylvania and to see every pro-life protection not only removed in our Commonwealth but also replaced with abortion on demand, through all stages of pregnancy, and paid for by your tax dollars.

As Dietrich Bonhoeffer famously stated, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

5. Babies in the womb need a voice.

The harsh reality is that nearly 100 babies are aborted in Pennsylvania every single day. The latest reports reveal, on average, one baby is aborted in PA every 15 minutes.

There is a need for a multitude of Pennsylvanians to take on a host of actions to reject the violence of abortion. One such action is coming together as a community to rally and march for life on Monday, September 22nd, in Harrisburg.
