About the PCEN

The Pennsylvania Christian Education Network (PCEN) exists to unite and strengthen Christian school leaders across the Commonwealth. As Christian education faces an increasingly complex legal, cultural, and political landscape, no school should have to stand alone. PCEN provides a forum for collaboration, communication, and shared advocacy, equipping school leaders with timely information and opportunities to engage in the public policy process. By building strong relationships and speaking with a unified voice, Christian schools can more effectively demonstrate the vital role they play in educating students, serving families, and strengthening communities throughout Pennsylvania.

Christian schools are facing growing challenges that require a coordinated response. Recent state budget negotiations showed how quickly programs like the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC), which helps thousands of Pennsylvania families access the education that best fits their children, can become political bargaining chips. Governor Josh Shapiro has also refused to opt Pennsylvania into the federal EITC program, preventing more families from accessing the resources they need for their educational choices. Through the PCEN, we’re working to proactively address emerging threats, advocate for sound public policy, and preserve the freedom of Christian schools to faithfully fulfill their mission for generations to come.
