Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum to headline sixth annual rally as pro-life Pennsylvanians gather in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pro-life Pennsylvanians from across the Commonwealth are gathering at the Pennsylvania State Capitol today for the sixth annual Pennsylvania March for Life, calling on state leaders to protect unborn children and support women and families.
Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum will headline the 11 a.m. rally on the Capitol steps, joining state lawmakers, medical professionals, faith leaders and pro-life advocates before participants march through Harrisburg beginning at noon.
“When a culture decides that some human lives are less valuable because they are small, dependent or burdensome, that principle does not stay neatly confined to the abortion debate,” said Michael Geer, president of Pennsylvania Family Institute. “This year, Americans have watched heartbreaking cases force us to confront again how we regard the lives of vulnerable children. The Pennsylvania March for Life is a declaration that human dignity has no size, age or dependency requirement, and that both mothers and their children deserve our protection and care.”
The rally will feature remarks from Santorum; Dr. Monique Ruberu, OB/GYN and board member of 40 Days for Life; Pennsylvania Sen. Dawn Keefer; state Reps. Barbara Gleim and Jesse Topper; Archbishop of Philadelphia Nelson Perez; Michael Geer, President at PA Family Institute; Pastor Matt Mylin of Worship Center; Pete Demaio, co-founder of Mission Love & Life; and Brooke of the Pennsylvania Pregnancy Wellness Collaborative.
