Pennsylvania Pregnancy Wellness Collaborative (PPWC) is a unifying voice for pregnancy resource centers in Pennsylvania

(HARRISBURG, PA – March 19, 2024) Today, directors of pregnancy medical clinics and resource centers in PA announced a new initiative, the Pennsylvania Pregnancy Wellness Collaborative (PPWC), which will help bring awareness to communities and lawmakers of the vital connection between pregnancy help services and the needs of women and families throughout Pennsylvania.

“The Pennsylvania Pregnancy Wellness Collaborative is a new initiative unifying pregnancy medical clinics and resource centers that provide compassionate and essential care for women and families in Pennsylvania,” stated Sarah Bowen, President of the Pennsylvania Pregnancy Wellness Collaborative.

PPWC will represent many pregnancy medical clinics and resource centers in Pennsylvania, working together to ensure that all Pennsylvanians have the help and support they need to ensure optimal maternal and child health.

The Pennsylvania Family Institute supports this new initiative and stood with PPWC in today’s announcement. Pregnancy medical clinics and resource centers provide essential support and resources to women and their families. They provide material goods like diapers, strollers, and formula for free or at low cost, as well as counseling and parenting classes, and more; ensuring that women do not have to face the needs of a new baby alone.

“We are thrilled to see this new, unified voice for pregnancy medical clinics and resource centers emerge in Pennsylvania. The PPWC is shedding light on their essential, life-saving work,” stated Judge Cheryl Allen, Of Counsel for Pennsylvania Family Institute.

The mission of the Pennsylvania Pregnancy Wellness Collaborative is to provide a unified voice for pregnancy centers, educating our communities and legislatures, and promoting and protecting pregnancy help statewide.

“The physical and mental well-being of women must be a top priority for state officials and members of the Pennsylvania Pregnancy Wellness Collaborative are well-equipped to help meet many of the vital needs in local communities,” stated Amy Scheuring, PPWC Vice President.
