What You Should Know If You Care About Religious Freedom

Fight for Religious Freedom: Be sure you are aware of how politics and the law are being used against believers who dare bring their faith outside the four walls of a church:

Get to know these people’s stories:

Take Cynthia & Robert Gifford: Because of New York laws against tolerance, they were fined $13,000 for refusing to host a same-sex wedding on their property.

Or look more into Barronelle Stutzman’s story: Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson has sued this florist and grandmother both in her personal and business capacity because of their law against tolerance – all because she could not make the floral arrangement for the same-sex wedding of a customer she happily served for 9 years. Her request for dismissal of the claims against her personal capacity were denied and her trial is set for March.

For more updates, see the World Magazine article that highlighted religious freedom and looked into five small businesses: click here.

Controversial legislation is about to be reintroduced by Rep. Dan Frankel (D-Pittsburgh) which would grant special status on the basis of sexual orientation and “gender identity.” This exact type of law in other states resulted in:

  • Small businesses have been fined and forced to close.
  • Men have been permitted to use women’s restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Religious organizations have been forced to stop assisting with adoptions.

Send a message to your representative and senator to encourage them to stand strong for religious freedom.
