In an insightful conversation on Cornerstone Television Network‘s Unscripted Faith, PA Family Institute President and CEO Michael Geer joins hosts Jay Gilbert and Angela Madden to share his remarkable journey from Washington DC to Pittsburgh.
As a TV news producer who became a Christian in 9th grade, Geer’s path led him to WPXI Channel 11, where divine timing not only brought him his wife but also set the stage for his future calling. Through his involvement with pregnancy resource centers and a growing passion for pro-family policy, Geer pursued a public policy degree at Regent University before founding PA Family Institute in 1989.
During the conversation, Geer shared how PA Family Institute emerged as one of 40 state-based family policy councils encouraged by the vision of Focus on the Family’s Dr. James Dobson. The organization has grown from its humble beginnings of one full-time and one part-time employee to a staff of 20, working across multiple fronts including legislative advocacy, legal action through their Independence Law Center, church ambassador networks, and school choice initiatives.
