Reaction to Biden’s Executive Order That Threatens Privacy Rights and Women’s Sports

One of the first actions by President Joe Biden on his Inauguration Day was signing an executive order on “Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation.” Included in his order:

“Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports.”

While everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, the result of such an order will be the infringement upon student privacy rights and fairness in girls’ sports.

Here’s some of the reaction to this executive order:

Students should have the right to use a locker room facility where they can dress and undress without the presence of someone of the opposite sex.

Girls deserve fair competition, and that includes maintaining women’s divisions distinct from co-ed or men’s competitions. This is not fair to girl athletes like Selina Soule and Chelsea Mitchell.
