Planned Parenthood Pulls the Religion Card

Below is a letter recently distributed by Planned Parenthood to their patient list.

PP Letter

Planned Parenthood is now seeking to enlarge their coffers by claiming that the Bible is silent on abortion. Sure enough, if you search the concordance at the back of your Bible, you won’t find the word “abortion.” But is Scripture really mute on the sanctity of life?

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”  Psalm 139:13-16 ESV

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 ESV

“You shall not murder.” Exodus 20:13 ESV

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” Psalm 127:3 ESV

Appallingly, Planned Parenthood is hiding under the guise of God and religion to shamelessly exploit and harm women through abortion. And what’s more- taxpayers finance them!

Planned Parenthood receives $1.5 million per day in public funding and $540.6 million in taxpayer funding last year alone (almost half of their total revenue).

Pennsylvania affiliates of Planned Parenthood said it would be “dangerous,” “unnecessary” and “burdensome” to make their clinics follow the same measures as every other surgical center and to be routinely inspected (following the Kermit Gosnell case, it was revealed that PA abortion clinics had not been inspected for decades).

According to the PPFA Annual Report (2012-2013) 93.8% of Planned Parenthood’s services are abortion, 5.6% prenatal care, and 0.6% adoption referral. Not one mammogram is provided in their clinics.

Planned Parenthood’s actions do not align with their rhetoric. So much for actually caring about women.

Pennsylvania should not support Planned Parenthood because:
1) Planned Parenthood is not a friend to women.
2) Planned Parenthood is big business.
3) Planned Parenthood = Abortion. No matter what.
