Question: Governor Tom Wolf has vetoed several good pieces of pro-life legislation, such as the Down Syndrome Protection Act and a telemedicine bill that would have helped those on the front lines of this ongoing pandemic. He keeps abortion clinics open – calling them “life-sustaining” businesses – despite shutting down all elective surgeries. And now he wants to give $3 million in taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood. What can we do about all of this?
This question and more will be addressed during the upcoming PA March for Life: Login for Life live online event, an educational webinar on Pennsylvania pro-life advocacy, scheduled for May 18th from 12 noon – 1 PM. This is free to attend – simply click here to register.
Back on March 25, the March for Life, together with the PA Catholic Conference and PA Family Institute, decided to reschedule the Pennsylvania March for Life, originally planned for May 18th, 2020. Not only was this decision out of concern for the health of those planning to attend, and in line with the guidance of public health officials and Capitol authorities, but the Capitol grounds are now closed through May so we would have been unable to coordinate with the Capitol to gather thousands together to rally and march for life. A rescheduled date is being considered for this fall.
Despite these challenges, we do want to connect with you and pro-lifers across the state – especially due to the recent actions by our Governor and other pro-abortion elected officials in Pennsylvania – like Attorney General Josh Shapiro. That’s why we’re excited about this live event on May 18th.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone to learn about the principles of effective lobbying, the specific and current issues Pennsylvania is facing, and what you can do right now to champion pro-life policies. This webinar will be hosted by a panel of experts who will be able to answer questions during a concluding Q&A. This webinar is suited for all levels of experience and comfort with advocacy.
