Tell PA General Assembly: Abortion is Two Million Too Many

Jan 17, 2019 | 0 comments

FACT: This year, Pennsylvania will surpass two million abortions performed in the state since Roe v Wade. That’s more than the populations of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh combined.

Our elected leaders, as well as those in our community, need to know that abortion is two million too many in Pennsylvania. That’s why we encourage you to sign our new petition to the Pennsylvania General Assembly telling them to protect the unborn throughout our Commonwealth.

Petition to the PA General Assembly:
Abortion is TWO MILLION TOO MANY for Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania law specifically states that when it comes to the construction of laws on abortion, our goals should be “to extend to the unborn the equal protection of the laws and to further the public policy of this Commonwealth encouraging childbirth over abortion.” (PA Abortion Control Act)

But here in PA, 2019 will mark two million abortions performed in Pennsylvania since Roe v Wade.

That’s more than the populations of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh combined.

That’s two million too many. Therefore, as elected officials, you should work diligently to pass laws that bring equal protection to the unborn. You should strive to advance public policies that encourage childbirth over abortion.

I implore you to live up to this standard and to stand up to those who attempt to advance an abortion-on-demand, without-exception agenda that’s counter to the well-being of Pennsylvania citizens.

Signed,
