No taxdollars for abortions – possible vote on Tuesday

House Bill 818 would ensure that abortion will not be covered under the health care exchanges. This would maintain the status quo – preserving current Pennsylvania policy regarding public funding of abortions.

HB 818 could come before the full House for a vote as early as Tuesday, April 23rd. Contact your State Representative!

The federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act permits states to prohibit insurance providers in a state health exchange from covering elective abortions. You can make that happen for Pennsylvania.

This bill does not prohibit abortion but would ensure no one is forced against their conscience to pay for abortion through taxpayer subsidy or insurance premiums.

Take Action!
Contact your State Representative and ask them to vote YES to HB 818 and against all weakening amendments. “No taxdollars for abortion, please.”
