Today, on Tax Day – tell your State Senator and Representative: “No taxdollars for Abortion.”
House Bill 818, is scheduled to be voted on in the House Health Committee today. This bill would maintain Pennsylvania’s status quo, preserving current policy prohibiting public funding – your tax dollars – from going to abortion services. The federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act permits states to prohibit insurance providers in the state health exchange from covering abortion.

In the Senate, SB 3 – which would also continue the policy on no taxdollars for abortion, passed committee last week and now awaits a vote by the full Senate.
The federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act permits states to prohibit insurance providers in the state health exchange from covering abortions – but Pennsylvania lawmakers need to pass these bills in order to do so!
You can help make that happen.
These bills do not prohibit abortion in the state. They would ensure that you are not forced to pay for abortion through your taxes or insurance premiums.
