National campaign calls on families to “stop settling” for failing public schools and take advantage of historic education freedom opportunity
Harrisburg, PA— Pennsylvania Christian Education Network is launching a national campaign to promote President Trump’s new Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC) and Christian Education Network Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO), known as CEN SGO.
The campaign, titled “Stop Settling, Expect More” began airing Oct. 1 and runs through the end of the year. The campaign will introduce families across our Commonwealth and the country to Christian Education Network SGO and the new federal Education Freedom Tax Credit, which takes effect January 1, 2027.

CEN SGO was launched in 2026 as a national Scholarship Granting Organization connecting donors, Christian schools and families with the new federal tax credit.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, individuals will be able to contribute up to $1,700 to approved scholarship granting organizations like CEN SGO and receive a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit. CEN SGO will use those redirected tax dollars to provide scholarships helping families afford private, Christian education.
Donors in every state will be eligible to contribute and receive the federal tax credit, while scholarship eligibility depends on whether a state participates in the federal program. In order for a state to participate, the Governor must opt the state in by before January 1, 2027.
“This week’s Treasury guidance shows just how significant this opportunity could be for Pennsylvania families. Married couples filing jointly could receive up to $3,400 in federal tax credits for qualifying contributions, generating new scholarship dollars to help children access Christian education. Now Pennsylvania needs to opt in so families across our Commonwealth can benefit from this historic expansion of educational opportunity,” said Andrew Pry, executive director of the Pennsylvania Christian Education Network.
The campaign builds on a growing national effort by the Christian Education Network to expand access to Christian education. Pennsylvania Christian Education Network is part of a coalition of state affiliates — partnering with state family policy councils — working to advocate for the expansion of Christian education, and help students, donors, and schools access the new Education Freedom Tax Credit.
CEN SGO is designed to help Christian schools and families navigate the federal program and maximize participation, building on the network’s experience serving thousands of families and now hundreds of Christian schools in the eight states with affiliates.
