Planned Parenthood’s Latest Newsletter Quietly Admits What Their Lobbyists Try to Hide

Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania (PPWP) sent out its November “In The Know” newsletter, a monthly message to its patients, donors, and political allies. The email reads like a victory lap, but a closer look at the numbers reveals something far more troubling. Their own report confirms a dramatic rise in abortion-industry activity and in deceptive, euphemistic procedures they promote for political gain.

This is not an organization focused on health. It is focused on profits at the expense of women, vulnerable children, and the unborn.

A Closer Look at Their Own Reported Numbers

According to PPWP’s own email newsletter, in Fiscal Year 2025:

  • PPWP provided so-called care to 11,849 patients, an increase of more than 6 percent.
  • They delivered 26,710 total services, a 13 percent spike.
  • They increased what they deceptively market as “gender-affirming services” by more than 135 percent.

Not a single one of these numbers reflects anything resembling prenatal support for women. Not one statistic signals maternal health. There is no mention of providing genuine medical alternatives or life-affirming care. It is a report of expansion. It is a report of ideology. It is a report of sales.

And it matches a pattern we have documented for years: Planned Parenthood claims one thing publicly while doing another behind the scenes.

Same Pattern of Deception, New Data to Prove It

In July, Pennsylvania Family Institute exposed PPWP and multiple other Pennsylvania Planned Parenthood locations for openly advertising “prenatal and postpartum services” on their websites while offering exactly zero prenatal care anywhere in the state.

From our July investigation:

“Contrary to their advertising, not one Planned Parenthood in PA offers prenatal services. Zero. This is not sloppy marketing. It is bait-and-switch.”

Our team called the locations directly. Their own call centers confirmed the truth. There are no prenatal services offered at any Pennsylvania Planned Parenthood. Yet their websites marketed these services anyway.

This deception was not new. In 2017, we caught them doing the same thing, and they quietly scrubbed their websites after public exposure. Eight years later, the false advertising returned.

So when PPWP now proudly reports explosive growth in their “services,” the question writes itself: services for whom? And toward what end?

Because it is certainly not prenatal care. And it is not genuine women’s health.

Their Lobbying Tells the Real Story

Just days ago, at Planned Parenthood’s lobby day in Harrisburg, the mask slipped entirely.

The clearest moment came from Roxanne Sutocky of The Women’s Centers, a business that operates two abortion facilities in Pennsylvania. Addressing the crowd, Sutocky demanded that lawmakers:

“Remove… all of them.”

Every safeguard. Every limit. Every protection for women and unborn children. Every safety requirement is intended to prevent another Gosnell-level disaster.

This was not a slip of the tongue. It was a mission statement.

This demand also came from a business that runs the Philadelphia Women’s Center, which performs more than 5,000 abortions every year (almost 100 per week!), including over 850 late-term, pain-capable children, and yet has failed building inspections nine years in a row, racking up 19 building-safety failures and 15 health-inspection failures since 2012. Violations included blocked fire exits, failed infection control, and failures to obtain parental consent for minors.

This same facility now claims to speak for “women’s health” while demanding the total erasure of every protection that stands between a frightened woman and an unregulated abortion industry.

A handful of legislators, including the Speaker of the Pennsylvania House, Joanna McClinton, repeated these extreme talking points and stood beside these demands. And Planned Parenthood is once again at the center of it.

Connecting the Dots

Planned Parenthood’s latest email newsletter is not a neutral update. It is a scoreboard. It is a progress report to donors and political partners that their agenda is advancing.

Here is the pattern.

1. False claims of healthcare services
The lobby and advocate with all sorts of nice-sounding slogans. But we know their revenue is mainly from killing the unborn and providing irreversible harm to individuals struggling with their sexual identity. Their own statistics show it.

2. Redefine harmful procedures with euphemisms.
Their reported 135 percent surge in “gender-affirming services” translates into more taxpayer-subsidized drugs and interventions pushed onto minors and young adults. The terminology is designed to conceal what these procedures actually involve.

3. Lobby to remove every limit on abortion.
The abortion lobby’s rally at the Capitol made this clear. They are no longer pretending to defend “health.” They are demanding the removal of every protection on the books.

4. Use misleading advertising to steer women toward abortion services.
Our July investigation proved this in detail. No prenatal services exist within Pennsylvania Planned Parenthood locations, despite their marketing claims.

Planned Parenthood wants Pennsylvanians to judge them by deceptive slogans and statistics that lack context. Their own data, when pulled into the light, tells a very different story.

The Bottom Line

Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania’s latest newsletter confirms exactly what we have been reporting for years. Their business model promotes abortion and harmful sex-rejecting drugs and procedures while masking it behind the language of “services” and “care.” Their political arm then pressures lawmakers to eliminate every protection for women and unborn children.

Their numbers are not signs of health. They are signals of an industry accelerating its agenda.

Pennsylvania deserves transparency. Women deserve real care. Children deserve protection. And taxpayers deserve accountability from organizations they are forced to subsidize.

Pennsylvania Family Institute will continue investigating, exposing, and telling the truth about what is happening behind the marketing slogans.

Because Pennsylvanians deserve to know.
