8 Things To Do If You’re Upset over Planned Parenthood

If you’re like me, you’re rather upset and disgusted at the video that shows Planned Parenthood’s Senior Director of Medical Services casually eating dinner while discussing their practice of selling body parts from aborted babies.

As frustrating as this is, it seems like these types of barbaric practices keep happening and there’s temptation to think you can do nothing about it.

But there is so much you can and should be doing. Right now – especially with the likes of The Washington Post and CNN putting the spotlight on Planned Parenthood over this recent controversy (and even though its poorly written coverage) – here are eight things everyone who wants to see change happen should do ASAP:

1. Tell your State Lawmakers – “Stop Paying Planned Parenthood!”

The largest abortion provider continues to receive millions in government handouts – our tax dollars. Please send them an email today through our Citizen Action Center.

2. Visit your State Senator and State Representative.

Schedule a time to go – and take a group with you if you can – to their district office nearest you and talk with them about what they should do to stop funding Planned Parenthood. If you need help finding their district office, call us at 717-545-0600 or 1-800-FAMILY-1.

3. Speak out for the sanctity of life.

More than politicians need to hear this message. If you’re looking for a place to start on what to say or data to back up your claims, use our 2015 report on the state of abortion in Pennsylvania that dives into the facts surrounding Planned Parenthood. For more, visit www.abortionispersonal.com.

4. Write a letter to the editor of your newspaper.

Let the truths and facts about Planned Parenthood’s abortion practices be known to as many as possible. Write a 200-250 word piece and submit it to your local newspaper. Visit our website for tips on how to write these.

5. Support your local Pregnancy Care Center.

There are hundreds of these clinics across Pennsylvania performing life-saving work. The workers and volunteers daily interact with women and families who are considering abortion and are our heroes on the front lines of this battle. To find a center near you, click here. You can also support these centers through Focus on the Family’s Option Ultrasound program that has saved an estimated 330,000 babies since 2004.

6. Find out if Planned Parenthood is in your school system.

For many school districts across the country the largest abortion provider is their sex-ed teacher. Contact your school district to find out. We encourage you to contact PA Family Institute for any action that you may be able to take. Phone: 717-545-0600 Email: mail@pafamily.org.

7. Watch and share the video.

It’s hard to hear someone talk so flippantly about selling baby parts, but it is something that people need to know is happening. So if you haven’t already, please watch and share the video.

8. Pray.

The road to ending abortion on demand in Pennsylvania and across America is going to begin and end with God granting it to us.  “It is only the grace of God that can bring left and right together and do the right thing.” (Eric Metaxas)
