Evidence for Why We Can Defund Planned Parenthood in Pennsylvania

Jun 11, 2015 | 0 comments

I just saw an ad from Planned Parenthood and I must admit – it’s the first time they’ve put me in a joyous mood.

See – it’s because their ad tells me our pro-life efforts in Pennsylvania are working. And that the abortion giant is concerned. Here’s how the ad started:

“As you read this, an attempt is underway by fringe politicians in Harrisburg to defund Planned Parenthood…in the state budget.”

For months we’ve been asking families across Pennsylvania to tell their lawmakers to defund Planned Parenthood. Ending government payments to Planned Parenthood (the largest abortion provider in the state) is the concluding action item from our 2015 report on the State of Abortion in Pennsylvania (click here to download for free or go to AbortionisPersonal.org).

Planned Parenthood’s ad tells us that our pro-life advocacy is working! Many of you have contacted your State Representative and State Senator about this. And we’re getting closer to seeing this happen!

No More Taxdollars to PPSee – those so-called “fringe politicians” are really logical lawmakers who see that we should not be paying the largest abortion provider in the state with our tax dollars. Why should we pay an organization that performs over half of all abortions in the state while making tens of millions of dollars in revenue on their own all while we’re faced with a growing budget deficit?

Keep on encouraging your state lawmakers to stop paying Planned Parenthood!

Planned Parenthood lobbyists are running around the capitol trying to advance their pro-abortion agenda. And they’re spending tons of $$$ to try to get people behind it.

And that’s all the more reason why we need to shine light on the truth that Planned Parenthood is both the largest abortion business in the state and receiving millions in taxpayers dollars. If it is “the public policy of this Commonwealth encouraging childbirth over abortion” (taken right from the PA Abortion Control Act), we must stop paying Planned Parenthood.

If you haven’t already, please consider contacting your Representative and Senator to encourage them this budget season to not use our taxes to pay Planned Parenthood. Click here to send them an email.
