There is an idea out there right now in some editorial columns and blogs – including within Christian circles – calling for a so-called compromise on the same-sex marriage issue. Read what Maggie Gallagher has to say; I couldn’t agree with her more!

I am a married Christian, and completely support same-sex marriage. Maggie is known for her “scare tactics,” and the misinformation that is given in the Christian Community deeply saddens me.
Our marriages are not threatened by equal marriage, neither is my right to practice my faith as I wish, or teach my children the values I believe in.
Many Christians are on the wrong side of history, and the wrong side of Christ on this…I pray for their wisdom, and the courage to do what is right rather than what is “popular” in christian circles with their friends.
In Massachusetts, a 5-year-old came home with a picture book about same-sex couples. When the father asked to be notified when teachers were discussing this material, he eventually was thrown in jail overnight.
In California, while the state allowed same-sex ‘marriage’, kindergartners signed pledge cards given out by an LGBT organization describing ‘different lifestyles’.
Are these events scare tactics or misinformation? I would argue these events are evidence that same-sex ‘marriage’ threatens the education of children and what parents can teach their kids.
