Local Pastors, Churches Organizing Statewide Prayer Gathering in Harrisburg on Saturday, June 6th

Jun 4, 2020 | 0 comments

At the steps of the Capitol, local churches and believers will come together to pray.

WHO: Local churches and Christians from across Pennsylvania, helped organized by the Church Ambassador Network.

WHAT: Prayer gathering to pray for justice, mercy and humility in our country, state and communities.

WHERE: Capitol steps, Downtown Harrisburg (3rd and State)

WHEN: Saturday, June 6th | 11:00am – 12:30pm

WHY: What was done to George Floyd was evil. Police brutality and excessive force is evil. Rioting and violence is evil. The lack of respect for the value of human life is evil. Racism and injustice are evil.

The church needs to respond and be part of the solution to overcoming these evils. As Romans 12:21 says, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” We need to act and we need God to intervene in order to overcome these evils with good – and the place to start is prayer.
