Pennsylvania Family Institute joins rally to call upon the PA General Assembly to pass the Excellent Education for All Act

(HARRISBURG, PA) Pennsylvania Family Institute stands with PA State Representatives Andrew Lewis (R-Dauphin) and Joshua Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) — along with families across the Commonwealth — in support of empowering more parents to help meet the educational needs of their children through the passage of the Excellent Education for All Act, House Bill 1.

The Excellent Education for All Act would increase Pennsylvania’s investment into the overwhelmingly popular and successful Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC)  and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs, helping more students achieve academic excellence. House Bill 1 would also help improve our charter school system as well as offer an education opportunity account (EOA) to help parents invest directly into the specific educational needs of their child.

“Parents across Pennsylvania are clamoring for more and better choices for their children’s schooling,” said Michael Geer, PA Family Institute President, “House Bill 1 will help make that happen. Pennsylvania has some great school choice initiatives but they are grossly underfunded in comparison with the incredible demand from parents – parents desperately looking for options, and the resources to choose them for their children. We can help more students achieve academic excellence and empower more parents by passing House Bill 1,” added Geer.

PA Family Institute’s Family Choice Scholarship Program is one of the state’s approved EITC and OSTC scholarship organizations, helping thousands of families achieve their highest potential in academics. Parents “cry for joy” when they are awarded these scholarships as for many it makes possible the best option for their child’s educational needs. As said by a Philadelphia private school tuition officer:

Every day I hear from families about the struggles to stay up to date with tuition. Covid-19 has caused this need to expand multiple times over.  Your scholarship organization, and its awards, give families hope…”
