Janice Martino-Gottshall joined the Independence Law Center in February 2021, following a career as a prosecutor with the PA Office of Attorney General. As a Senior Deputy Attorney General in the Criminal Prosecutions Section of the Office of Attorney General, Janice prosecuted many different criminal offenses including public corruption, health care fraud, prescription drug diversion and crimes of sexual assault and violence. She also conducted many grand jury investigations resulting in arrests and prosecutions and presided over the Attorney General’s Medical/Legal Advisory Board on Child Abuse.
Prior to her service with the Office of Attorney General, Janice held the position of Executive Director of the Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Association, a position in which she represented the interests of Pennsylvania’s 67 district attorneys, coordinated legislative efforts and served as the statewide director of education and training for Pennsylvania’s district attorney offices. Janice also served as an assistant district attorney with the York County District Attorney’s Office where she specialized in child abuse prosecutions and sexual assault.
Janice holds a J.D. degree from the Dickinson School of Law and a B.S. degree from Shippensburg University.
