WORTH READING AND HEEDING: Great column that cuts through the latest media hype and media myths that tell us that defending marriage between husband and wife against redefinition to allow “gay marriage” is a dying notion and that all of us better get over it or get run over by so-called progress of society.

We at the Pennsylvania Family Institute/Council call on the citizens and the churches of Pennsylvania to join us and declare what the column’s authors Anderson and Walker proclaim, “We’re not dead yet!”

Here’s a gem from the column. Read full article here.
“For us, defending marriage is not about reclaiming a vestigial social unit of yesteryear. Marriage exists to bring a man and a woman together as husband and wife to be father and mother to any children their union produces. And as ample social science has shown, children tend to do best when reared by their married mother and father. Government recognizes marriage because it is an institution that benefits the public good.”
