Who is speaking at City on the Hill 2012?

May 18, 2012 | 0 comments

Part of the experience of City on the Hill is our students engaging with some of today’s most influential and effective leaders.

Those leaders for this summer’s 12th annual City on the Hill (July 22-28) will be:

Glenn Stanton, Director for Family Formation Studies at Focus on the Family

For years, Glenn Stanton has been instrumental in working to protect the family. We see this through his research summaries and now 5 books to his many debates and lectures on the issues of gender, sexuality, marriage and parenting at universities and churches across the country. He previously served with the George W. Bush administration as a consultant on increasing fatherhood involvement in the Head Start program.

His latest book, The Ring Makes All the Difference, explains the latest research findings, as well as biblical wisdom, on why cohabitation is not a smart idea for couples and their children.

**Save the Date** – Tuesday, July 24th with Glenn Stanton – Evening session with COTH students open to the public. More details to come.

Mike Adams, Professor – Author – Pro-Life Activist

Like Stanton, Mike Adams debates and lectures on many college campuses; especially in the area of defending the unborn. He’s a professor and author – especially as a regular contributor on Townhall.com. He’s made appearances on Hannity, The O’Reilly Factor and Scarborough Country while also having his writings read on the air by Rush Limbaugh and Neal Boortz. Adams has also become a national leader in the campus free speech movement.

Dr. Alberta Wilson, Founder/CEO of Faith First Educational Assistance Corp.

A staple for our conference, Dr. Wilson has been the conference’s kick-off speaker for many years. That’s because of the reviews we continually get about her from our students; for instance this past year she was described as “uplifting”…”energetic”…”inspiring” & “When she walks into a room, you can feel the incredible passion she has for her Savior. I pray that God will give me that kind of passion for Him.”

Faith First Educational Assistance Corporation’s primary mission is to aid parents in making choices regarding their children’s education.

  Matt Batzel,
Executive Director for American Majority Wisconsin

Matt is an alumni of the inaugural City on the Hill conference and was the recipient of our “Statesman Award” that year.

Married and father to four, Matt opened American Majority’s Wisconsin office in October 2010.  Under his leadership, American Majority Wisconsin has trained almost 1,000 candidates, campaign managers and activists at more than 20 trainings across the state. During the height of the 2011 union protests in Madison, Matt organized American Majority’s “I Stand with Walker” rally that gathered more than 10,000 patriots to show the nation their support for the Budget Repair Bill.
