School Choice Advances: SB1 Passes Committee

Senate Bill 1 passed the Senate Education Committee this morning by a 9-2 vote. The school choice bill encompasses several advances in education reform: grants for children in the poorest performing schools in the state; expansion of the Education Improvement Tax Credit; and changes in charter school funding and approval processes.
